** IMPORTANT **

If you have had Gas Exchange or the Nomination System open before you install, it is recommended that you reboot your machine before installing the new version to clear any files from memory.

When starting the download, the system will ask you "What would you like to do with this file?"
You will be given an option to download the file to your computer or disk, or to install from its current location. The message box will appear like this:


Please leave this option as defaulted to SAVE THIS PROGRAM TO DISK.
If you choose to run this program from its current location, the installation could be incomplete if your Internet connection should terminate.

You will then be asked where you would like to save this file as shown in the box below. Choose a location on your computer and remember where it is located.

Choose Save.

After the save is completed, close out of your Internet browser as well as all other programs.

Open Windows Explorer and double click on the file you saved.
You should see the following box:

Choose Setup.

You should see the following:

The default installation of the Electronic Nomination System is C:\GAS_NI2. This will install the program in a separate subdirectory from your original system and give you a "clean slate." The information on your current system will not be affected and can be viewed for information purposes if necessary. When you access your program through the Start Menu, you should see both programs. The old version will appear as "Northern Illinois Gas" and the new version will appear as "Nicor Gas."
If you have a large amount of data in your current system that you wish to continue to use (i.e. list of account codes or end users), you may want to install the new version directly over your old program. If you want to do this, verify that your current system is in directory C:\GAS_NI and install the new program into this same directory.

Select Continue.

The programs should install and give the following message.

The next message will tell you that your installation is complete.
