Effective January 1, 2007, you may notice several minor changes to your gas rates. This change was ordered by the Illinois Commerce Commission as part of Nicor Gas' recent rate case. Changes include a slight decrease in the delivery charges applicable to Rate 1-Residential Service. In addition, applicable charges for Rider 2, Franchise Cost Adjustment, may appear for the first time as a new line item on your bill. 

Most customers will experience little, if any, noticeable change in the amount of their bill. Even after considering the overall impact of our recent rate case, Nicor Gas still has the lowest rates of any major natural gas company in Illinois.
