Additional LIHEAP funds are now available!
Additional funding from the Federal Government for this year's heating season is now available, and you may be eligible. To find out if you qualify, please contact your local LIHEAP office as soon as possible.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), administered by the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, helps eligible low-income households pay for energy services. Qualifying households receive monetary relief once per year to be used for energy bills. Eligibility is based on several factors including household size, location and income.

Beginning September 4, 2007, applications will be accepted for homes with senior citizens and disabled residents. All other households meeting the eligibility guidelines can apply on and after November 1, 2007.

Check our Income Guidelines listed below. Then, follow the steps to apply.
