September 5, 2006 Today Nicor Gas announced the promotion of Kevin W. Kirby (46) to vice president of customer care for Nicor Gas. As vice president, Kirby will be responsible for the leadership of the entire customer care operation, including billing services, credit and collection, remittance, business support and gas transportation.
Kirby joined Nicor in 1984 as a supervisor of special services. Throughout the years he has advanced through a variety of positions including manager of operations, general manager of new customer additions and assistant vice president of customer care. "Kevin has been a valued member of Nicor Gas for more than 20 years and we are pleased to announce his latest promotion," said Rocco D'Alessandro senior vice president operations for Nicor Gas. "We are fortunate to have someone with Kevin's qualifications and company familiarity as part of our executive team," said D'Alessandro.
Kirby received his bachelor's of arts degree at Southern Illinois University and a master's in business administration from Northern Illinois University in 2003. He resides in Oswego, IL with his family and is currently a member of the board of directors for the Northern Illinois University Executive Club, the Northern Illinois University College of Business Advisory Board and Lakeview Estates Board of Managers.
