Today Nicor announced the promotion of Barbara A. Zeller (52) to vice president information technology for Nicor Inc. Zeller, currently vice president for Nicor Gas, will now also oversee information technology systems for Nicor Inc. Her responsibilities involve the oversight of affiliate information technology including application systems, projects, infrastructure, and governance for Nicor Inc., Nicor Gas and other Nicor subsidiaries.
Zeller joined Nicor in 1998 as assistant vice president of information services. She has more than 25 years of experience in information technology, including positions in the manufacturing and distribution industries as well as consulting assignments. In 2002, Zeller was promoted to vice president of information services for Nicor Gas. Prior to joining Nicor, she held positions at IBM Global Services, Alberto Culver, United Stationers and Sara Lee.

Hawley, executive vice president and chief financial officer for Nicor Inc. and Nicor Gas.
Zeller earned a bachelor’s degree from Roosevelt University in 1980 and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago in 1996. She is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Gas Association Technology Advisory Board. Zeller currently resides with her husband in Arlington Heights, IL.
