Naperville, IL – Nicor announced today the promotion of Scott Lewis to Vice President Governmental Relations for Nicor Inc. and Nicor Gas. Scott brings 25 years of Nicor experience to the position.

Lewis joined Nicor Gas in March of 1984 as Editorial Representative. In 2004, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President Governmental Relations. During his time with Nicor, Lewis has worked in a number of positions including rate analyst, media relations specialist, supervisor division sales, and general manager of governmental relations.
"It has been a pleasure to work for Nicor these past 25 years. I plan on continuing to build upon that foundation with the help of my colleagues as we continue to provide the best possible products and services to our customers," said Lewis.
Lewis earned his Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Arizona in 1978 and a Master of Business Administration degree from DePaul University in 1994. He currently resides in the Village of Western Springs with his wife and children.
