Naperville, IL – Nicor Gas announced today the promotion of James Griffin to Vice President Operations Administration for Nicor Gas. Jim brings 24 years of Nicor Gas experience to the position.

His experience and knowledge of the natural gas industry will ensure that Nicor Gas continues to be a leader in delivering safe, reliable service and operational excellence.”
Griffin joined Nicor Gas in 1985 as Service Helper, Southern Division – Joliet. In 2007, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President Operations Administration. During his time with Nicor Gas, Griffin has worked in a number of positions including general manager customer response, operations manager, general supervisor credit assistance center, supervisor customer inquiry center, operations supervisor, and supervisor meter reading, among others.

Griffin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business from Lewis University in 2001 and a Master of Business Administration degree from Northern Illinois University in 2008.
