NAPERVILLE, IL. — Nicor, Inc. today announced that Claudia Colalillo, Senior Vice President Human Resources and Corporate Communications, has been elected President of the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC). Her position, along with those of all other newly elected HRMAC officers, takes effect July 1, 2003. Comprised of more than 3,000 human resource (HR) professionals throughout the Midwest, HRMAC is a leading organization for the development of workforce solutions that address businesses' current and future needs. HRMAC has approximately 600 member companies.

In her role as HRMAC president, Colalillo will preside over its Board of Directors. She most recently served as Vice President on HRMAC's board of directors, and she also is a member of its Senior Executive Roundtable.
Colalillo has an extensive record of service in human resources professional organizations. She is a member of the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) of which she is a past State Director. She has served on SHRM's Area III Board of Directors and completed its Certified Professional in Human Resources designation in 1993. Also a member of the Human Resources Association of Greater Oak Brook, Colalillo is a past President and received the association's first Human Resource Professional of the Year award in 1993. She also serves as a member of the Advisory Board of Aurora University.
As Nicor's Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Communications, Colalillo reports to Nicor Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Tom Fisher and has responsibility for the areas of human resources and corporate communications for Nicor and human resources and customer care for Nicor Gas, which encompasses the Nicor Gas call center, sales and marketing function, community relations, gas transportation and billing services.
