Reading a Sample Meter

                Sample Reading : 1994

Read the numbers for each dial going from right to left.

Dial A
The pointer is between 4 and 5. This dial should be read as 4. (This dial goes clockwise.)

Dial B
The pointer is between 9 and 0. This dial should be read as 9. (This dial goes counterclockwise.)

Dial C
The pointer appears to be directly on 0. Check dial B. It has not passed 0, so dial C should be read as 9. (This dial goes clockwise.)

Dial D
The pointer is between 1 and 2. This dial should be read as 1. (This dial goes counterclockwise.)

The correct reading for the sample meter is 1994.
