Charges related to Customer Select alternative gas supplier program, third-party warranty and other services
Transportation Service Credit and Customer Select Charge
If you participate in our Customer Select alternative gas supplier program, you are purchasing natural gas from a supplier other than Nicor Gas and you do not pay Nicor Gas for your natural gas costs. However, you are assessed a Customer Select Charge and given a Transportation Service Credit, both of which are based on gas usage.
Alternative gas supplier charges
Some alternative gas suppliers bill you directly. Others include their natural gas commodity charges on your Nicor Gas bill. If your supplier includes its charges on your Nicor Gas bill, those charges will appear under the Additional Products & Services section (located below A Message for You).
Warranty product charges
If you purchased third-party warranty products and services, these charges are also listed under Additional Products & Services.
